Marketing Manager (Agency) (Full-Time)
Remote | Applications Close: September 15th
About LMM
At LMM, strategy guides everything we do.
We believe marketing should be intentional, structured, and built to drive measurable results. Many founders operate with inconsistent messaging and scattered execution. They need direction, clarity, and a team that can deliver with precision.
That is where the Marketing Manager comes in.
Read this before you apply.
We're a growing digital marketing agency, and we're looking for our next Marketing Manager to lead client strategy and results across a portfolio of brands. If you're someone who wants real career growth, who wants to work alongside brands that are actually scaling, who genuinely cares about your craft (you're reading a marketing book right now, taking a course, or you've got something queued up on Spotify) — and who lights up at the idea of working across a diverse mix of brands instead of doing the same thing on repeat — we think you're going to love it here.
We're looking for a forever learner. Someone who's as invested in their own personal development as they are in their clients' growth, and who sees this role as a place to keep getting better, not a place to coast once they've figured it out.
This role is for a Marketing Manager who has already grown brands, managed real ad budgets ($5K-$10K+ monthly spend), and knows how to build advertising strategy — including funnels and landing pages — from scratch and run it start to finish. We also work with a lot of smaller, earlier-stage clients, so you should be just as comfortable coaching and meeting a small brand where they are as you are running strategy for an established one. Bonus if you've worked with personal brands and international clients, because that's exactly who's in our book of business. We also work with a lot of faith-based brands, so being comfortable and genuinely aligned with that space matters here.
You'll own a portfolio of client accounts (typically 3-6 clients, depending on account size and complexity): building their strategy, executing their campaigns, leading the team supporting those accounts, and being the person clients trust with their marketing dollars. 95% of our clients are primarily digital marketing clients, so this is a digitally-native role through and through. This is a client-facing seat — you are the strategist and the operator for the brands in your book of business.
A note on who we are: We're a startup, and we're an integrity-first team. We value excellence, open communication, and doing right by our clients even when it's not the easy thing to do. Because we're a startup, this role isn't a plug-and-play seat in an established machine — we're looking for someone who wants to build and grow with us, who's energized by shaping how things get done here rather than just executing a process someone else already perfected.
One honest heads-up before you apply: this isn't a 9-to-5, clock-in-clock-out role. Most weeks you'll work around 40 hours — but during a launch for a client or a big pitch, it'll run closer to 55-60. We'd rather tell you that now than have it surprise you later. If steady, predictable hours matter most to you right now, that's completely valid — this probably just isn't the right season for you to join us. But if you're someone who can flex when it counts and doesn't mind the occasional heavier week, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Actually Do (Day to Day)
Client Strategy
Build marketing and advertising strategy for each client from the ground up — tied to their specific revenue and growth goals
Own the client relationship: present strategy, report results, and be the trusted voice they turn to
Research each client's competitive landscape and sharpen their positioning
Define target audience and customer personas per client — no copy/paste strategy across accounts
Advertising Strategy & Execution
Build and run paid ad campaigns across the platforms that make sense per client (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
Manage ad accounts with real budgets — you should be comfortable running and optimizing $5K-$10K+ per month in ad spend without hand-holding
Set and manage ad budgets, and know how to defend your allocation with data
Optimize campaigns based on performance — you're not "set it and forget it," you're in the numbers weekly
Build out full-funnel strategy: awareness, consideration, conversion — not just top-of-funnel ad spend
Funnels & Conversion
Build sales funnels and landing pages that actually convert — you should be hands-on with funnel/landing page tools, not just directing someone else who is
Map the full customer journey from ad click to sale, and identify where a client's funnel is leaking
Content & Brand (Per Client)
Oversee content calendars and campaign messaging for each account — you own the what and why, and delegate day-to-day scheduling/posting to your team
Keep each client's brand voice and visual identity consistent across channels
Write or direct copy that's on-strategy and on-brand for each client
Campaigns & Launches
Plan and execute client product/service launches start to finish
Run seasonal or promotional campaigns tailored to each client's goals
Coordinate with client-side sales or ops teams so strategy translates into results on their end
Analytics & Reporting
Track what matters per client: traffic, leads, conversion rate, CAC, ROAS, ad performance
Deliver clear, regular reporting to clients
Run A/B tests and adjust strategy based on what the data actually says
Team Leadership
Lead and manage the team members supporting your client accounts
Set clear expectations, give direct feedback, and hold your team accountable to deadlines and quality
Systems
Build and document a repeatable system for how you take a client from onboarding to strategy to execution to reporting.
What Success Looks Like
Within 30 days: you've audited your assigned client accounts, identified what's working and what's not, and presented a written strategy and system for how you'll run each account going forward.
Within 60 days: campaigns you've built or optimized are live and showing measurable movement, and clients are getting consistent, proactive reporting from you without having to ask.
Within 90 days: you can point to real results — improved ROAS, lead volume, or growth metrics — that are directly tied to strategy you built and ran.
What Failure Looks Like
If after 21 days you still can't clearly explain a client's business, offer, or goals
If clients have to chase you for updates instead of receiving them proactively
If "the strategy" is really just running whatever the platform's auto-optimization suggests, with nothing custom built for the client
Who You Are
Experience & Track Record
You've managed successful campaigns and you're just as comfortable coaching smaller, earlier-stage brands, meeting them where they are instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all playbook
You've personally managed ad accounts with $5K-$10K+ in monthly spend, and you've run campaigns start to finish — strategy, build, launch, optimization, and wrap-up reporting
You've personally built advertising strategy from scratch and can walk us through a campaign you ran, why you made the choices you made, and what the results were
You're familiar with building sales funnels and landing pages — you understand the full path from ad to conversion, not just the ad itself
Your portfolio includes personal brands and international clients/markets, and you genuinely want to keep working in that space
Leadership & Communication
You demonstrate strong leadership — setting direction, delegating, giving direct feedback, and holding people accountable, while bringing out the best in your team and your clients
You're a clear, direct communicator — no hiding behind vague language like "I help brands grow"
You're comfortable being client-facing — presenting strategy, defending decisions, and owning results directly with the people paying for them
Craft & Standards
You're genuinely social media savvy — not "I have an Instagram" savvy. You understand platforms deeply, know what's trending and why, and can spot what makes content perform versus flop.
You read and study your craft often, and actually apply what you learn
You're detail-oriented — small things don't slip past you, whether it's a typo in an ad or a missed deadline
You're goal-oriented — you set targets, track against them, and adjust when you're off pace
Culture Fit
You're comfortable and genuinely interested in working with faith-based brands — a meaningful part of our client base
You're excited by the idea of a startup — building systems from scratch and growing alongside the company as it scales
You operate with integrity — you tell clients and leadership the truth, even when the numbers aren't what anyone wants to hear
You want to grow. We promote from within often, but we can only do that if there's a strong pipeline of talent — which starts with people like you raising the bar
Personal Qualities
Organized and reliable
Strong thinker and clear communicator
Proactive, solutions driven, and steady under pressure
Detail oriented with high standards
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Committed to growth, integrity, and excellence
